Minerals from the Goboboseb mountains, Namibia

 

The name Goboboseb mountains includes localities in the Goboboseb mountains, Brandberg-West.
Sometimes you find also discriptions like
"Tafelkop" or "Copper Valley".

The minerals were mined in basalts.

For the collector of interest are the following minerals:

all varieties of quartzes (amethyst, smoky quartz, rock crystal), prehnite, stilbite, analcime
 
Mineralogical world-famous are the variety of quartzes.

For this richness of variety I reckon the "Gobobos"
as the world-best location for quartz.
