Minerals from Steeden
The location Steeden are quarries near
the town Runkel, near Limburg at the river Lahn.
Mined were Devonian mass limestones.

Mineralogical the location is distinguished by
its variety of calcitees, which occur
as "Kanonenspäte", skalenoeder, rhomboeder and
various mixtures and for its beautiful pyrolusites.
