Minerals from Nochern

 

The lokation Nochern is composed of a litharenite (Grauwacke) quarry and
can be found in the Westtaunus, near the town
St. Goarshausen, between Wiesbaden and Koblenz.

Mined were Devonian Grauwacke, in particular for the gravel production.

For the collector of value are the following minerals:

quartz, albite, apatite

Mineralogically important are big quartz-cluster, who are built as rock crystals 
with chlorite inclusions or as floaters.
