Minerals from the Holzappel rang of veins


The Holzappel rang of veins is situated at the river Lahn
between the villages
Holzappel, Winden and Obernhof.

Mined were hydrothermale
ore veins, particularly galena and sphalerite.

The rang of veins can be sudivided into the locations
1. Holzappel mine near Holzappel and Laurenburg
2. Leopoldine Louise mine near Weinähr and Obernhof
3. Anna mine near Winden

For the collector the following minerals are of interest:

galena, sphalerite, pyromorphite,
chalcopyrite, flos ferri

All the illustrated specimens come from the mine Holzappel
