Minerals from Hahnstätten

 

The location Hahnstätten are quarries near the town Hahnstätten, near Diez at the river Lahn.

Mined were Devonian mass limestones.

For the collector of attraction are the following minerals:

calcite, quartz
 
Mineralogical the location is distinguished by
its variety of calcites, which occur
as "Kanonenspäte", skalenoeder, rhomboeder and
various mixtures.
