Minerals from the Altlayer range of veins

The Altlayer range of veins is situated near the river Mosel, between the towns
Traben-Trabach and Simmern.

Mined were Devonian slates and
hydrothermale ore veins, in particular galena and sphalerite.

For the collector of value are the following minerals:

chalcopyrite, calcite, ankerite, quartz, apatite, tetraedrite, baryte, pyrite,
sphalerite, galena

Particulary appealing are paragenisis specimens, where various
minerals occur.
